Automatic Metadata Extraction was contributed to by Jesper Steen Moller. Originally available through the Add Content web interface, this contribution is now available as an Action from a rule available from all interfaces.

An Email listener that listens for email messages, for a given email address, and loads the complete email message with meta-data and attachments into Alfresco is available here.

Task list functionality is now available to complement forum discussion in this JIRA ticket.

Alfresco is now integrated to eCopy. This allows a user to scan in an image and place it directly in Alfresco. This new code is stored in the Alfresco Forge at:

[edit] Bulk Upload by Alex Protgerellis

The ACPGeneratr project provides a tool for bulk uploading of content into any alfresco repository. It reads custom content models and a CSV list of required property and category values for each content item and creates an ACP file. This new code is stored in the Alfresco Forge in:

This contribution offers an aspect, action and view modification to create thumbnail representations of content in Alfresco.

[edit] Meta-Data Extraction for Images

This month's featured contribution is by again by Ray Gauss II. Again if focuses on managing images but this time it offers meta-data extraction for image files. This is available for IPTC and EXIF metadata manipulation. Each month’s featured contribution receives an iPod TM Nano which you can use to listen to our popular series of Podcasts.

[edit] “pkcs5” Encryption plug-in

This month's featured contribution is contributed by IDEALX and is a component of the IDX-eDOC project. The encryption plug-in enables the user to encrypt and decrypt handling the “pkcs5” MIME-type. It is currently the most active project on the Forge.

[edit] Outlook Add-in for Email Records Management

This month's featured contribution is an add-in to MS Outlook 2002/2003 that allows users to record emails from the Outlook interface to the Alfresco repository 1.3.x/1.4.x using web services. Rivet Logic, an Alfresco partner, is leading this project. They will be showing this at the AIIM Expo.

This month's featured contribution adds a WikiModel to the Alfresco repository, and extends the webclient to allow users to create and manipulate WikiSpaces and WikiPages.

[edit] wcm-metadata

This project allows you to define meta-data mappings in a web-form xsd, so you can add custom aspects with custom properties to web-content. This enables you to pull web-content from the Alfresco repository, based on your own custom meta-data.

This month’s featured contribution is a utility that will automatically purge deleted items after a configurable period, 7 days by default. It is provide as an Alfresco Module Package (AMP) which makes installation very straight forward. Many thanks to Bertrand Magnier for sharing this useful utility with the community

[edit] Opsoro

This month’s featured contribution is a demo of an AJAX-based repository browser prototype using Web Script technology. Opsoro, short for OPen SOurce ROcks, is an excellent example of using web scripts to create a standalone content-enabled application.

[edit] BlueXML Developer Studio

BlueXML developer studio is a productivity tool that generates Alfresco configuration files from model diagrams created through a graphical user interface. Released under the GPL license, it is available for download from the BlueXML website. Read more.

The BlueXML generator creates content models from class diagrams, web client configuration files, presentation templates for viewing documents in a personalized way and advanced BPM configuration files.
