[edit] Enterprise Content Management
In addition to the filed bugs and fixes below, Alfresco 2.1.1E provides a number of enhancements to Alfresco performance and clustering. Performance for general use on Document Management is 20-40% faster than the same actions on 2.1E. For customers using Alfresco in a cluster, Alfresco 2.1.1E should be considerd a mandatory upgrade.

[edit] Web Content Management
In addition to the file bugs and fixes noted below, Alfresco 2.1.1E also includes a number of fixes related to Hibernate caching and locking. These fixes together improve bulk import and large-scale submit operations, eliminating potential Hibernate cache overflow (through forced clean-up of cache references) and providing significant overall improvements to bulk import and submit times (upwards of a 6x performance improvement).
