[edit] About the Wiki

==

In the About the Wiki section, it explains:

We have chosen MediaWiki as the foundation for this wiki since it is the most popular wiki in the world ... Our intention is to provide wiki support on top of Alfresco with support for the MediaWiki mark-up syntax.

Comment: I really think we need to keep the recent changes link close at hand. This is the best way to monitor the wiki and keep track of the changes. I can't speak for everyone but I use that link all the time -- hit the forums, check messages since i last visited, hit the wiki, check the new edits.

Does this mean that Alfresco permits MediaWiki markup, or merely that this is in the works (not yet implemented)?

It's always discouraging to me when I see an otherwise promising Content Management system that doesn't use its own product. By utilizing MW for your wiki, you are declaring to the world that you don't trust your Alfresco to meet your own wiki needs.

- Alfresco is not a Wiki! (Not yet, anyway!)

I don't mean to badger anyone. Maybe I just don't understand what Alfresco does. Any explanation would be helpful.
